Juventus players accused of 'doping' in late 1996

The Juventus players who defeated Ajax in the final of the Champions League 1996,have disputed the meeting under the effect of doping substances. Italian scientists Onorfio and Giuseppe d'Alessandro Donati recently had access to tests performed before the game, confiscated the Italian club two years after the final at Rome's Olympic, concluding that the blood tests the players showed "clear evidence of the presence of the substance illegal EPO [erythropoietin].
